Folder

The path to the generated updates configuration file. Click on the [ ... ] button to specify it. By default it shares the same folder with the project file.

Name

Specify the name of the generated updates configuration file.

Build language specific codepage

This option will encode the updates configuration file using the ANSI codepage associated with the selected language. The language can be selected from the Options menu on the Start Page when creating a new updates configuration project or from the Translations Page after creating the project.

This is the default option supported by all updater versions.

UCS-2 encoding

With this option the updates configuration file will be Unicode encoded. The advantage of this option is that the updater will correctly display characters regardless of the OS language.

For this option to work you should use the updater.exe file that comes with Advanced Installer 11.7 or higher.
