Advanced Media Tab
In this tab you can perform extensive customization for the media volumes and CABs. This tab appears only if the Advanced CAB Layout option is selected in the Configuration tab.
Common media volumes settings

You can specify them in the Media Volumes Common Properties section. This page is displayed when the “Volumes” item is selected in the tree
The modifications performed will be applied to all media
volumes.
Individual volume settings

You can specify them in the Volume Properties section. This page is displayed when a media volume item
is selected in the tree.
You can rename a media volume by using the “Rename” context menu item or by pressing the F2 key.
CAB settings

You can specify them in the CAB Properties section. This page is displayed when a cab item
is
selected in the tree.
You can choose to hide this page by using the “View->CAB Properties” context menu option.
You can rename a CAB by using the “Rename” context menu item or by pressing the F2 key.
Moving CABs

You can move the selected CAB to a new or existing media volume by using the “Move To->Existing Volume...” or “Move To->New Volume” context menu items.
Moving resource files

You can move the selected resource file to a new or existing media volume or CAB by using the “Move To->Existing Volume...”, “Move To->New Volume”, “Move To->Existing CAB...” or “Move To->New CAB” context menu items.
Media Volumes Common Properties

In this page you can specify the size for the first and following volumes. This gives you the possibility to author multiple installation disks.
Do not forget to make the first volume smaller to allow space for the
MSI next to the CAB files.
Volume Properties

In this page you can specify the disk prompt. This name will appear in the message displayed when you are prompted to insert the next disk.
CAB Properties

This page contains a list of all the resource files that are contained by the selected CAB. It also give you the possibility to specify some CAB settings.
Moving resource files

You can move the files to new or existing CABs by using the “Move To->Existing CAB...” or “Move To->New CAB” context menu items.
You can also leave the file outside, on the media volume by using the “Store Outside on Volume...” context menu option.
CAB Properties

Maximum CAB size

Specify the maximum size for the selected cab. It cannot be smaller that 1 MB and greater than 2 GB.
Compress CAB for smaller size

Enable the CAB file's compression. This option will overwrite the corresponding option from the Configuration Tab page.
Include into the MSI database

Choose to include the CAB file into MSI or leave it outside.
