NT Service Properties
This view allows you to configure an NT Service declaration which identifies an NT Service to install, update, or uninstall on Nano Server.
Properties
Service name
The name of the service to install, update, or uninstall. This name must be unique to the package.
Display name
The display name for the service. This display name must be unique to the package.
Description
The description for the service.
Service file
The name of the executable file for the service. The executable file must be included in the package. If this file is not included, the service fails to start.
Arguments
The command-line parameters to pass to the service executable when starting the service.
Options
Startup Type
The time at which to start the service, either automatically at system start or when a process manually requests the service start.
Start Account
The name of the account under which the service should start running.
Start Error Action
The action to take when an error occurs while the service starts.
Failure Recovery Action
The action the server should take to try to recover when the service fails.
Dependencies
Specify the set of additional services on which this service depends.
Adding a new dependency service
Use the button.
Editing an existing dependency service
Select a dependency in the list then click once on it.
Removing an existing dependency service
Select a dependency in the list and use the button.
